Pataliputra University, Patna was established on 18 March 2018, by order of the Government of Bihar, letter / memo no. 15 / M1-71 / 2016-700, dated 09.04.2018. All colleges in Patna and Nalanda district, Bihar (India), except those affiliated to Patna University, come under the jurisdiction of Pataliputra University.
